“The pace of growth in exports continued with 3,180 vehicles sold, registering a growth of 172%. August has been an exciting month with the much awaited XUV700 and a brand new visual identity specially crafted for our SUV portfolio. The supply of semiconductors to the auto industry continues to be a global issue and a key area of focus for us.
supply of semiconductors
Mahindra has long stood its ground when it comes to the types of cars it wants to sell. More recently, the company used the showcase of its XUV700 to showcase the new logo of the brand. The logo will be rolled out in a phased manner on all vehicles, communication and branding. This is one of the many updates that the auto maker hopes will help the brand’s identity, outlook and growth.
While suppliers and consumers are all waiting for this change, one cannot overstate the need for more pressing. How bad is the supply of semiconductors going to hit the auto industry. Meanwhile, Mahindra has announced the price of select variants of its new showcase XUV700. The complete price list will be made available at the time of actual launch. Booking will also start at a later date. Now the question is how much Mahindra will be able to negotiate its requirement for semiconductors to ensure timely delivery of the XUV700.
