Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has leased a property adjacent to his house Jalsa to State Bank of India for 15 years. This property of Big B is in Juhu Vile Parle Department. They will get its rent of Rs 18.90 lakh per month. This property of Amitabh Bachchan is on the ground floor, which has an area of 3150 square feet. Earlier this property was taken on lease by Citibank.
Citibank had vacated in 2019
According to the information, the rent per square feet of Amitabh Bachchan’s property is Rs 600, which is more than the market rate of that area. Earlier this property was taken by Citibank for many years. In June 2019, Citibank had vacated the property after the lease expired. According to documents obtained from Zapkey.com (a real estate data analytics and research firm), the lease papers were registered on September 28 last month. In this deal, stamp duty of Rs 30,86,000 along with registration fee of Rs 30,000 has been paid.
The bank gave Rs 2.26 crore
According to the stamp duty document, Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek have given 3150 square feet of ground floor for 15 years. Every 5 years the money will increase by 25%. 18,90,000 will have to be paid every month for the first five years. After this, Rs 23,62,500 will have to be paid for 5 years and Rs 29,53,125 for the next five years. State Bank of India has deposited Rs 2.26 crore which is about 12 months rent. He told that this is the property of superstar Amitabh Bachchan and is next to his house. Also it is the corner dominant spot of Juhu. He said that the current lease rent of this area is Rs 400 to 500 per square feet.
