A Delhi court on Wednesday sought a report from the city police on the action taken against Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty besides several others in the complaint of a businessman. This businessman alleges that he has been cheated of lakhs of rupees. It is alleged that the money cheated from him has been misused. The counsel for the complainant told that Metropolitan Magistrate Mansi Malik has sought a report from the police on the action taken in this case.
Vishal Goyal alleges that the accused cheated him under conspiracy and fraudulently got him to invest lakhs of rupees in a Mumbai based company in 2018, which later did not get any return and his share price also fell. The complaint states- ‘The accused intentionally got the complainant to invest Rs 41,33,782 with the intention of using this money for wrong and illegal purposes’.
Visible ‘Rosie picture’
The complaint further states that ‘Many others, including Raj Kundra, persuaded the complainant to invest in his company by showing him a ‘very rosy picture’. He was told that this company would be involved in gaming, animation, beauty products.
