ED summons Jacqueline Fernandez to testify, actress records her statement

Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has been in the news for the past few days regarding a money laundering case. Meanwhile, an official statement has come out from Jacqueline’s spokesperson, in which she has told that the Enforcement Directorate has called the actress to testify.

Jacqueline’s spokesperson statement
Actually recently the statement of Jacqueline’s spokesperson has come to the fore. The statement said that Jacqueline was called by the Enforcement Directorate to testify in a money laundering case. Along with this, the actress has recorded her statement as per the rules and in future also she will cooperate in every way in the investigation. The spokesperson further said that Jacqueline categorically denies the alleged libelous statements she has made about her relationship with the couple involved in the case.

Case of cheating of more than 200 crores
Let us tell you that this whole case is related to Sukesh Chandrashekhar, accused of cheating and ransom of more than Rs 200 crore. After raiding the premises of Sukesh Chandrasekhar some time back, the ED had seized a luxurious bungalow located near the beach in Chennai, Rs 82.5 lakh in cash, two kg of gold, 16 luxurious cars and other expensive items. Along with this, remind that Sukesh, who is lodged in Rohini Jail, was arrested by the Special Cell of Delhi Police on August 8 this year for demanding extortion of 50 crores from the businessman.

Significantly, on Wednesday, Jacqueline’s statement was recorded under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in connection with the money laundering case registered against Sukesh Chandrashekhar and his wife Leena Maria Paul. Sources say that Sukesh Chandrashekhar had sent expensive gifts to Nora and Jacqueline by fraudulently earning money.
