Raj Kapoor’s son and actor Rajiv Kapoor passed away in February this year. He was 58 years old. It was nothing less than a shock for his brother Randhir Kapoor. He had lost Rishi Kapoor only last year. Randhir Kapoor told that that night he met Rajiv and asked him to sleep. It was found in the morning that he was not responding, then he was taken to the hospital where he was declared brought dead.
In an article written for Yahoo India, Randhir told about the last conversation he had with Rajiv that ‘I met Rajiv that night at 2 o’clock. I returned home at half past one. There was a light in his room. He was drinking I told him- “Stop drinking. Eat food and go to sleep.” That was my last conversation with him. The next morning my nurse woke me up and told that Rajiv was not responding. His pulse was dropping. We immediately took him to the hospital. Within an hour he was not there.

Randhir Kapoor further says that ‘the main fear I had was that anything could happen to my brother Rishi. He was suffering from cancer. We went to visit him in America where he was undergoing treatment but no one thought that Rajiv would pass away so soon. That came as a shock to me.’
Let us tell you that Rajiv Kapoor made his debut in 1983 with the film ‘Ek Jaan Hai Hum’. He acted in films like ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’, ‘Aasman’, ‘Lover Boy’ and ‘Jabardast’.
